Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. They remember your choices, keep the site working properly and help measure how it is used. slotrave-casino.com (the “Website”) also uses the browser’s local storage (localStorage), which keeps small pieces of information on your device in a similar way but does not send them to the server with every request. On this page, cookies and localStorage entries are together called “cookies”.
2. The Rules We Follow
New Zealand has no cookie-consent statute: no law here requires a website to ask permission before setting a cookie. We offer the cookie banner anyway, as good practice and so that the choice stays with you. Where the information collected through cookies can identify you, it is personal information, and the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles govern how we handle it, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
3. The Cookies We Use
The Website deliberately uses very few cookies:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Strictly necessary (first-party, localStorage) | Records whether you accepted or rejected cookies in the banner, so you are not asked again on every page. | 12 months |
| Session / security | Strictly necessary (first-party) | Keeps the Website working and secure during your visit, including protection against abusive automated traffic. | Session (deleted when you close the browser) |
| Preferences | Functional (first-party) | Remembers choices you make on the Website, such as the language version or display settings, so they stay the same on your next visit. | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Optional (only with your consent) | Not currently used. If analytics is introduced, it will count aggregated page visits and will run only after you accept it in the cookie banner. | Not currently set; would be listed here if introduced |
The Website does not use advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. If new cookies are introduced, this page and the cookie banner will be updated first, and consent will be requested for anything that is not strictly necessary.
4. Your Choice — the Cookie Banner
On your first visit, a banner offers a clear choice: Accept or Reject, with both options given equal prominence. Strictly necessary cookies work either way, because the Website cannot function properly without them, and they are not used for commercial purposes. Everything else runs only if you choose Accept. Your choice is stored in the cookie_consent entry for 12 months, after which the banner asks again. To change it sooner, clear the Website’s data in your browser (see section 5) and the banner will reappear.
5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can view, block or delete cookies (including localStorage) in your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site settings → Cookies and site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Each browser maker also publishes step-by-step instructions. Blocking all cookies can stop parts of the Website from working — for example, it will no longer remember that you have already answered the cookie banner.
6. Third Parties
Information stored by our own cookies is not shared with third parties. When static files such as scripts or style sheets are delivered through a third-party content delivery network (CDN), that provider may technically process your IP address in order to serve the file; such processing is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy, and any overseas disclosure for which we are responsible is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Complaints
If you think our use of cookies is wrong, contact us first at support@slotrave.com so we can fix it. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the law, regulatory guidance or the technologies used by the Website. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the latest update shown at the top.
9. Contact
For questions about cookies, or about how we handle personal information in general, write to support@slotrave.com. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
