Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how slotrave-casino.com (the “Website”, “we”, “us”) collects, stores, uses and shares personal information. This edition is written for readers in New Zealand, so we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020 and its 13 Information Privacy Principles (the “IPPs”). The Website is read in many countries, and where the law where you live gives you stronger rights — for example, the EU General Data Protection Regulation for visitors in the EU — those rights also apply.
The Website is an independent information and affiliate publication about the Slotrave gaming platform. We are not a gambling operator: we do not open player accounts, hold funds, take deposits or bets, process payments or verify players’ identities. Those activities are carried out only by the operator of the Slotrave platform, a separate company that handles any data you give it under its own privacy policy. For any question about this Policy, write to support@slotrave.com.
2. The Data We Collect
We keep collection to the minimum needed to run the Website, and we collect it lawfully, fairly and directly from you or your device, as IPP 1 to IPP 4 require:
- Technical and browsing data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, language settings, screen resolution, the page that referred you, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit.
- Information stored through cookies and similar technologies such as localStorage, as described in our Cookie Policy.
- Information you choose to send us by email — your email address, your name if you give it and the content of your message.
We do not collect health, financial or identity documents, and you never need an account on this Website. You can read it without identifying yourself.
3. Why We Use It and on What Basis
We use personal information only for purposes connected with running this Website, as IPP 1 and IPP 10 require:
- running and securing the Website, including preventing abusive traffic and protecting it against fraud;
- replying to messages you send us, and dealing with any request or complaint that follows from them;
- aggregated, non-identifying statistics about how the Website is used, only if you accept the relevant cookies, and you may change that choice at any time;
- meeting legal obligations that apply to us in New Zealand.
We do not sell personal information, we do not send marketing emails and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.
4. Cookies
The Website uses a small number of cookies and localStorage entries. Where the information collected this way could identify you — for example, an IP address combined with browsing activity — we treat it as personal information under this Policy. Full details of what we set, why and for how long, and how to accept, reject or delete cookies, are in our Cookie Policy.
5. Sharing and Overseas Disclosure
We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may share limited technical data with service providers who host, maintain or analyse the Website, acting on our instructions under a contract, and we may disclose information to public agencies where the law requires it.
Because the Website is international, some of our providers store information outside New Zealand. Where we disclose personal information overseas we follow IPP 12, relying on comparable safeguards in the receiving country or on contractual protections that require a comparable standard, supplemented by technical measures where needed. You can ask us which safeguards apply.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, unless the law requires longer, as IPP 9 requires. As a guide: technical and browsing data is kept for up to 12 months; email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and a reasonable period afterwards; cookie and localStorage data is kept for the periods listed in the Cookie Policy. After that it is deleted.
7. Security and Privacy Breaches
We apply reasonable security safeguards under IPP 5 to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, including TLS encryption of connections to the Website, restricted access to the correspondence we keep, data minimisation and reliable hosting.
If a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, the Privacy Act 2020 requires us to notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and the people affected as soon as practicable after we become aware of it, and we will do so.
8. Your Rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the following rights, free of charge:
- access to the personal information we hold about you and a copy of it, under IPP 6;
- correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, under IPP 7;
- a statement attached to the information where we do not agree to correct it;
- deletion of your information where we no longer need it for a lawful purpose;
- an explanation of how your information was collected and what it is used for;
- objection to any use that goes beyond the purposes described in this Policy;
- withdrawal of cookie consent at any time, without affecting what happened beforehand.
To exercise any right, write to support@slotrave.com with enough detail for us to identify the information. We reply within 20 working days, which may be extended where a request is complex.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at support@slotrave.com so that we can put it right. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, which investigates privacy complaints in New Zealand.
10. Under 18s
The Website, and the gambling services described on it, are intended only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has sent us information, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians can write to support@slotrave.com and we will act at once.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the law, guidance from the Privacy Commissioner or the Website itself. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the latest update shown above.
12. Contact
